handle-mom-facebook-200X200So, I hopped on my facebook the other day with the intention of updating my status and I had a friend request…. Don’t lie, you get excited about them! I clicked on it and to my surprise, it was guess who….drum roll please. MY MOTHER….oh yes.

Now the question comes to mind, do I click yes or no? Or do I ignore it and pretend like I don’t check my updates. I clicked yes… Now, Not only does she now have access to every picture of me taken throughout my college career, but to ex-boyfriends, and status updates. What used to be a place of refuge to vent to friends about anything and everything has become a microscopic lens with which my family can view my most personal information.

Lucky for me, my mom isn’t the type to pry, or really check out what’s going on because she isn’t completely aware of how to use it. That is until she discovered Farmville….

Farmville is a revolutionary application with which you create your own far and interact with neighbors and such. After her initial discovery, she informed me that she would start my farm if I would let her. Now, she has ALL my login information. Everyday, when I login, I am greeted by a wealth of Farmville updates, text messages from my mom telling me to that she’s “logging on to check my farm.”

My question is, where do we draw the line? Have I let it go too far by letting my mom start a farm? Or do I let her enjoy my facebook, after all, it’s harmless right?
